So today was Novapalooza.
We brought a bunch of bands to play and got food and
drinks and endlessly found a bunch of donators to come
with what I believe to be the final total of $502.37
for the Trevor Dee Foundation. It was great having Trevor's
friends particpate in this/come, and my band changed
its name to "Because of Dee" which I think is right
for the circumstances. A couple of us put a lot, a lot
of work behind this and it all goes with deep love for
Trevor. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful man.
(I remember last year telling Sam about a big surprise
guest appearing for Novapalooza, and he didn't expect
Trevor as the magical figure...but he came just before
our "Freebird" and we stayed after for a few hours cleaning
up, eating, and racing with the mops).

And then I chased the two of you down University
and threw that half-eaten bagel into Trevor's car
at like 50 mph |

My Brother Trevor, all
the heavy shit I went through received his support and
he seemed to still make things funny. He was the biggest
fan I had for my music...the first to listen to the
songs on the albums and come to every show I've ever
done since I knew him. He could haul ass like an illegal
immigrant when I'd tell him last minute of a show going
on. And I loved this brother. When he was dealing with
his tortures, he was compassionate enough to open up
to me and let us both lie in our misery. And it was
beautiful. Terrible with calling people back...and some
important dates got uneventful (that damn festival with
Miller). But I couldn't stay upset with the kid. We
had too much weight we carried from the past (we both
saw the the cycle of our greatest loves, the nights of
redemption, the steak n' shake, our peace in that poetry).
He introduced me to the band I'm in now, which we dedicate
ourselves on to him. Novapalooza money will all go to
this foundation. And the truth for me is that I don't
think anyone can define their relationship with this
"half-shaven, misbehavon" vegetarian, because there
will never be any sense or understanding of what we
were then and what I am now with him.
I stood fallen with the dust in my eyes letting go of
trying to see. But I feel that love, and it will always
be beyond any of my words. Trevor, you just keep stumbling
on to my head, and I am nothing but lost in shaking
it off. You have all my truth soul brother...ani hoeve
oh tah. |

I just dedicated my final project in my Spanish class
to Trevor. This picture ends the video with the quote
about the Mexican drummer.
The whole video I scream in spanish, and I sound just
like him. It's quite funny. Especially the "porque"'s...
Anywyas, I recently spoke to Elise about how its near
impossible to miss Trevor. His memory lives on in every
facet of my life.
On a side note, notice how his arms bend in this photo!
People can't do that! He never ceases to amaze me, even
now. |

One of my earliest, happiest
memories of you Trevor, was walking on a beautiful golf
course, with you holding my hand and Mickey trotting
along beside us. I would pick you up every now and then
for you to reach the trees. You were all of eighteen
months. I felt a very close connection with you darling.
Even when you were a baby you knew the love we had for
you, and reach out to us. You will always be with us
poochie, and one day we will be with you. With love
forever.

Trevor,
you were my best friend and you always will be. I'll
see you when I'm ready and we'll reminisce of old times.
I love you man and I can't wait to see you again. It's
hard without you but I know I must move on and live
my life until it is time for us to party again, but
someone said to me that I now have someone watching
over me and I know you are. I can't even express the
impact you've made on my life. You gave me life. You
were always there when I needed you and you always knew
what to say. You knew me better than anyone. You told
me once that you knew that wherever we were in our lives
that you knew we would always be able to call eachother
and we would always be in touch and I know you're still
there. I pray that one day I will see you again, but
until then I live my life for you. Have fun walking
through walls lol I'm sure I'll love it.
With Love,

I remember you as Elise's hilarious brother. I will
never forget how you would make me laugh, even at

You always made my day happier and filled with laughter.
